Site is useful for people who have no organisational affiliation and therefore no access to resources that require payment in order to access them. |
The WA Health Libraries Network Consortium purchases a common core set of resources from central funding. The core resources may be reached from individual library sites, as they are integrated with locally purchased ones.
Why are there different sites?
- Libraries buy access to online resources and are restricted by agreements to providing access to those staff covered by the licence.
- It is not always cost-effective to buy all resources on a whole of WA Health basis.
- Library sites link to all resources licenced for access, both those bought as core WA Health consortium purchases and those bought on a more restricted site / service basis.
